potato chip scarfI found this free pattern for a Potato Chip Scarf that is super easy and fun for the beginning knitter!  Let’s face it newbies… knitting a scarf in all knit stitches can be yawn boring!  With a bit of a twist (literally) you can knit something that looks like you are a pro.

For my scarf, pictured to the left, I’m using With Love yarn by Red Heart in the color Cerulean.  I usually don’t like multicolored yarns but this one puts some cool strips and that almost look like bursts in the ruffles on this scarf.

I will also add that this is going pretty quickly even though I’m using US 8 needles.  Smaller that I usually prefer.  I’m thinking my next one I might jump up to a US 10.  Yes there will be a next.  I’m not that fast of a knitter either since I’m new to the game and who knows if I ever will be but I could finish several of these before Christmas for sure.  🙂

I will update in a couple of days with a picture of my finished scarf.
